A portrait is processed for a consultation—not kept as a profile.

This page describes the standard PersonalSeason consultation. Development-only analysis-lab files follow a separate local corpus workflow and are never presented as customer uploads.

Human review note: The GDPR and biometric-data classification below, and whether support@personalseason.com is actively monitored, require owner or legal review before a public launch.

What the standard consultation processes

When you confirm analysis, PersonalSeason sends a browser-compressed copy of your portrait to the server. The server temporarily stores it while a face-segmentation process locates relevant visible regions. The response is then used in your browser to extract representative skin, hair, eye, eyebrow, and lip colors, build season matches, and run your preference refinement.

Retention, in order

  1. Your selected portrait first exists as a local preview in the current browser tab.
  2. After explicit consent, the compressed portrait is temporarily uploaded for server processing.
  3. The request attempts to delete the temporary server file immediately after processing, including failure paths.
  4. A scheduled cleanup removes temporary analysis files older than 24 hours if immediate deletion ever fails.
  5. Closing or refreshing the consultation tab clears the in-memory customer session. PersonalSeason does not persist the selfie, analysis, or votes in browser storage.

AI training and product use

We do not use standard consultation portraits, extracted colors, or refinement choices to train AI models. The result is informational personal-color guidance and is not a medical diagnosis, identity system, or beauty score.

Development analysis lab

The analysis lab is a development-only regression tool that can intentionally read and write a persistent local test corpus. That corpus is supplied by the developer and is operationally separate from the temporary standard consultation path described above.

Legal classification and your rights

Portrait and face-region processing may be regulated differently across jurisdictions. The current project treats it as sensitive data and applies short retention, explicit consent, purpose limitation, and access controls. A qualified reviewer must confirm whether the implementation and wording meet GDPR special-category or biometric-data requirements for the intended deployment.
